ORIGINS · PIR PANJAL RANGE

BORN ON THE SLOPES OF THE PIR PANJAL

Born and raised in Sethan...

Unlike commercial mega-resorts where instructors rotate between 50 students per day, Tenzin founded The Backcountry Odyssey on an unbending principle: ski coaching in the Himalayas should be intimate, respectful, and grounded in authentic mountain literacy.

THE COACHING PHILOSOPHY

“Master the balance first; speed and powder rhythm will follow naturally.”

Biomechanical alignment and forward shin pressure to avoid fatigue.

Micro-adjustments via on-slope 4K video playback review.

Continuous snowpack and avalanche hazard reading before dropping in.

Leave No Trace alpine ethics and Buddhist mountain stewardship.
